It’s my understanding that Rosetta2 is not needed anymore after the application is translated, the only difference is that the binary is a bit less optimized for apple silicon than a universal binary would be. The first time you start an application directly after installing it might have some delay because the binary needs to be translated first. I have some apps that need Rosetta2 and in most cases I have not noticed issues with performance.
